A quick tour of OpenCloudBot — chat, blog, the arcade, the trading desk, and your privacy-first account.

OpenCloudBot is a free, non-profit AI chat companion with a few extras bolted on: a blog, an arcade, a virtual trading desk, and an optional account that asks for as little about you as possible. Here's how each part works.

Chat

New chat

Start a fresh conversation from the sidebar. Replies stream in live and support Markdown and syntax-highlighted code.

Attachments

Use the + button by the input to attach an image or a text document (.txt, .md, .csv, .json, .log) to your message.

Quick prompts

The brain button next to the input opens a menu of starter templates — summarize, translate, improve writing, brainstorm, code review — that drop a ready-made prompt into the composer for you to finish.

Customize

Save a custom system prompt that's applied as the default at the start of every chat. When you're signed in it syncs with your account across devices.

Search chat

Search across your past conversations from the sidebar to jump back to anything you've discussed.

Local history

Your chat history lives only in this browser — it's never uploaded and does not sync, even when you're signed in.

Please don't enter passwords, financial details, or other personal or sensitive information into the chat.

Blog

The blog collects field notes and short stories. Anyone can read; filter by category or search by keyword. If you're signed in you can leave one text comment per post — comments are public and shown with your username and avatar, so keep them free of personal information.

Game

The arcade hosts self-contained browser mini-games. Four are live — Cloud Surfer (endless jumper), Neon Drift (sky racer), Cipher Breaker (decryption puzzle) and Storm Chaser (survival arena) — each loaded on demand so a broken game can't take down the hub. When you're signed in, every run records your personal best and last few attempts to your account.

Trade

The trade desk is a virtual paper-trading playground across stocks, indices, bonds, commodities, FX and crypto. Prices are the previous day's close (delayed, not live, not advice). Everything is priced in OCB — our in-house unit, pegged 1:1 to the IMF Special Drawing Right. Sign in to open a virtual OCB account, watchlist up to 20 assets, and buy/sell at the last close. A profit leaderboard ranks every account by total return, so you can see how your imaginary fortune stacks up. It's all imaginary money — no real funds are ever involved.

Accounts

Accounts are optional — the chat works fully without one. If you sign up, we ask only for a username and password — no email, no personal details. Because there's no email on file, you're given 4 one-time recovery codes at sign-up; save them, as they're the only way to reset a forgotten password. You can also pick a preset avatar and delete your account (and everything tied to it) at any time.

What an account changes is simply what syncs:

  • Syncs with your account: your custom prompt, your game scores, your blog comments, your virtual trading account, and your avatar.
  • Stays in this browser only: your chat history and your theme choice — always local, never uploaded.

The Settings page (reached from your avatar menu) is where you switch the light/dark theme, collapse the Trade newswire by default, and selectively clear your online data (saved prompt, blog comments, trading data, game scores) or wipe the local data in this browser.

Privacy

OpenCloudBot is built to collect as little as possible. Fonts, icons, and libraries are all self-hosted, so browsing doesn't expose your IP to third-party CDNs, and there are no tracking cookies. Messages are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI only to generate a reply and aren't stored on our servers. For the full details, see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

OpenCloudBot is a personal, non-profit project intended for technical parody and satire. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any AI company or model provider.
